No matter how large your hotel or resort is or how many sites you, MICROS-Fidelio hotel software portfolio will help you to improve your business:
FidelioXpress Web CRO
MICROS is pleased to announce the release of the FidelioXpress WebCRO application. This application allows small groups of hotels to make reservations at different locations from their own central reservations office (CRO). The CRO office can be setup on a server at a remote location or it can be setup on the same server at one of the hotels. The CRO server communicates with the hotel servers via the Internet. Both server and client PC’s can run the CRO application.
The WebCRO application uses a single image inventory for rates and availability. This means that host server pulls the current rates and availability directly from the hotel. The hotel does not have to manage rates and room availability in two different locations. Profiles and reservations are stored in both the hotel database and the host server database. By storing the profiles in the host server database, the profiles can be accessed by other hotels within the same hotel group. That way guests do not need to provide their personal information each time they make a reservation for a hotel within the same group of hotels. The profile information is passed from the host server to the hotel for which the reservation is being made. . There is not a synchronization that sends all of the profiles from each of the hotels to all of the other hotels. Unlike the Internet Reservations module, the hotel group does the hosting of the host server for the WebCRO.
The hotel controls rate and room type availability. When setting up rate codes, the user defines whether or not that rate code can be sold via the CRO. The same is true for room types. In addition to defining which room types are available through the CRO, the user can also restrict the number of rooms that can be sold through the CRO. For each room type, the user can enter a Holdback Count. Once the number of available rooms reaches the holdback count, that room type is displayed as sold out when booking via the CRO. For example, a hotel has 10 King rooms. The holdback is defined as 4. When there are only 4 King rooms available at the hotel, this room will display as sold out to the CRO user. These 4 King rooms can still be booked directly with the hotel. The hold back counts can be modified with date ranges as well. In addition to the Holdback Counts, the user is able to Block Date Ranges. The Block Date Range feature allows the hotel to close CRO bookings for all room types within a date range. To close CRO bookings for a single room type, the user would need to modify the holdback count for the date range.
Reservations can be changed or cancelled through the CRO. Additionally, the CRO has the capability to perform group pickups from both tentative and definite groups that are linked to a company or travel agent profile. Groups cannot be created in the CRO application.
Created for small to mid-size hotels, the FidelioXpress F.D.M .system integrates many critical functions to provide the highest level of speed and service available today. Using the system's advanced touch screen technology, front desk personnel can make reservations, check guests in and out, process credit cards, issue keys, and perform other property management tasks with ease.
FidelioXpress facilitates an instant, one-step check-in process. Front desk personnel just swipe the guest's credit card and the system automatically brings up the guest's reservation and applies payment information to their credit card. Credit authorisation can be obtained in real time and the system's integrated interface module links with many door locking systems automatically cutting the guest's room key at the same time; thus eliminating double entry of information. Checking out is equally efficient, with a one-step process that brings up all guest charges and automatically invalidates room keys.
Group and tour processing are also streamlined with the special features of FidelioXpress. By noting the impending arrival of a group, the system can prepare room keys for each guest and check-in all tour guests at once, no matter what the size of the group. The system's sophisticated room management capability allows hotel management to pick up rooms via a rooming list or individual pick-ups. FidelioXpress can also be set to automatically cut off groups if all held rooms are not picked up by a pre-determined date.
FidelioXpress operates on an open Windows®-based system that easily interfaces with other applications and will evolve along with emerging technologies. The system can be fully integrated with the MICROS 3700 Point-of-Sale System, to automatically post restaurant charges to a guest's account. FidelioXpress is also Internet enabled, to provide an end-to-end e-commerce distribution channel. With its interface to FXWeb on-line booking and travel management capabilities, FidelioXpress provides the capability to confirm reservations directly from a hotel's web site.
MICROS - Fidelio Hong Kong SEMINAR DAY - MARCH 18, 2010
Seminar explores how integrated IT can help hospitality industry improve both service and profit
Systems integration is changing the hospitality industry in important ways for owners, operators and guests alike. It's enabling travelers to check-in using their smart phones (and will soon put room-key functions on them, allowing guests to bypass front desk formalities completely). Designed for a more wireless world, integration is driving lighter, yet much richer applications -- increasingly hosted off property -- dramatically improving guest services while providing powerful tools to help owners and operators improve returns. It's putting more services in handheld devices, changing the way reservations are made, shrinking distribution costs, eliminating conflicts, and routing more sales through hotel websites -- shifting control of room inventory from third-party wholesalers back to hotels. |
